Welcome To Red Rock Labradoodles!
Welcome to the NEW HOME of Red Rock Doodles, formerly CSpiritdancer Doodles. Red Rock Doodles is a small family breeder of Labradoodles located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Tom and I would like to share our experience and love for this wonderful breed with everyone! If you are a dog-lover, and you must be since you are here, your dog is more than a pet. He/She is a member of your family! I have trained and raised Labradors since I was 18. There was Brandi, Bitter, and Bacardi followed by Jesse and then Prada, a released Canine Companion which my daughter Bailey and I raised. I have loved all my labs for their wonderful personalities, loving nature and unwavering companionship they provided. My husband Tom has always said our lab Prada would be the perfect dog “if only she didn’t shed.” She is, and has always been, the “perfect dog” despite the fact she shed at least one of herself every week! If you have ever been or are a lab owner, I am sure you can relate. Unfortunately, my son and my husband’s children showed signs of allergies to dogs and we decided to do some research a few years ago. Thus began my quest to find a “Labrador that didn’t shed.” We have found our labradoodle to be the perfect blend of personality, intelligence, sweetness and zest along with a low-allergy low-shed fleece coat! We spend a lot of time outdoors hiking and biking and enjoying the lakes and streams in Colorado. Labradoodles love to run, hike, and swim as much as they enjoy the quiet warmth of lying next to you while you relax. Adding a pet to your family is a big decision and we are glad you chose Red Rock Doodles. If you are interested in one of our puppies for sale or would simply like a referral to another reputable Labradoodle Breeder, please contact us.
Puppies are coming! Puppies are coming! Latte is expecting to deliver beautiful multigen Australian Labradoodles in mid June 2015. Keep posted here for more updates!
So good to hear from you!
Saw on your posting that Latte is soon to be expecting. It so exciting. We have been watching closely as we LOVE Dunkin so much. He really is such a wonderful dog, we feel so blessed.
As for Dunkin, he is absolutely wonderful. I'm not sure how many of the other pups from his litter you have seen or gotten feedback on but we can tell you, Dunkin is the FLEECIEST dog we or anyone that touches him has ever seen/touched. He is so soft. We are learning that this can be challenging as the hair get's matted very easily....but we have found two great groomers that keep him in tip top shape. We did give him a short summer cut as he was so hot.
He has a wonderful disposition. He loves people and children, super playful and is wonderful with other dogs. He did find his bark, ;) but only uses it when he is scared or is "protecting" us. It's strange though because it is such a deep bark/howl, we are surprised that it comes from this adorable dog. He is a quick learner and when we train him on something he picks it up very quickly. We are still working on the Reliable recall but for the most part stay's close to us when not on a leash.
We have a few new pictures we will send your way when we down load them. He has so many adorable expressions.
Can you tell we LOVE him? :)
Hope you are having a wonderful summer!
After researching labradoodles for a year, I narrowed my choice down to three breeders. Of those three, Jane was the most helpful and friendly.
Choosing Red Rock Doodles was the best decision we made. Jane will keep you updated from the time before the puppies are born up to week 8 when you pick up your new pup. She welcomed us into her home for visits, and on picking day let us spend hours getting to know the puppies. After hours we chose purple girl Layla. She is a sweetheart! A little reserved with strangers, but warms up quickly. She has a beautiful fleece coat and everyone who pets her comments on how soft she is. She also has the teddy bear look that I wanted. She is very well behaved and loves other animals. The transition to our home was very smooth and she was pretty much potty trained when we brought her home. Jane truly knows what she is doing.
It was a wonderful experience for our entire family. We are very blessed to have Layla in our lives!
The Konty Family
Jade appeased us by wearing her party hat and loved her cake!
Thanks so much for providing her to our chaotic life! As much stress as the first 6mos created, when I hear Darius tell Jade, "I'm gonna love you forever. .." my heart melts and I thank Santa for the joy!!
Phil is doing great! We just love him to death. He has grown so much and is just so smart.
Hi Jane :)
Well.... where to start with Tucker...... :) ONE WORD...."ENERGY!!!" He starts out every morning with 4-5 big LOUD stretches, then after a little potty break, he is wound for sound! Almost every morning includes several laps around the living room, followed by lots of ball fetching in the back yard. Let me tell you, his eye-mouth coordination is incredible, Tucker is obsessed with his ball! He has trained very easily. He is a huge blessing, Sara still claims the he is the best present she has ever received. As far as his hair texture, he is as soft as a velvet blanket, he actually is so soft, that when you pet him, you build up static electricity very easily, kind of funny actually! He does NOT shed, which is awesome!!! All I would tell a new potential owner, would be to prepare for lots of energy! Well Jane, thanks again for giving us such a wonderful addition to the family.
As always, thank you for the email and all the valuable information! And thanks for the picture of Getty, I’m thinking Dunkin might be Getty look alike! ;)
We are having so much fun with Dunkin. He is a puppy through and through but so fun. Mark has taken countless pictures of him because he has so many cute faces and funny poses. We had some big first’s today, all very exciting. He had his first vet visit to his new vet. She said says he is a great dog, everything looks good and looks like all of his incisions from the surgeries have healed extremely well. We also had a big shocker as he weighed in at a whopping 19 lbs!!! He is going to be a big boy! Dunkin also learned how to go up and down the back steps today. It is only 4 steps but it is a big deal as these are the steps he needs to go down to get to the back door to go outside. He’s done really well with the potty training but when he couldn’t go down the stairs he couldn’t tell us he REALLY had to go which led to a “whoops” here and there. Hopefully that will all end now that he can tell us when he needs to go “hurry hurry”!
He also had his first ‘doodle party' last week. We introduced him to two other doodle puppies that are few months older than he is. At first they were running over him, but once he got comfortable he was hanging with the big boys.
Thank you again Jane for keeping in contact. I attached what is my current favorite picture of Dunkin, but I’m sure Mark can send you many more if you’d like.
Thanks and hope all is well.
